I have always adored Carnival season, but seeing Mardi Gras through the eyes of Stella this year has brought such a new sense of joy and wonder. Stella has been to four parades now, and with each passing band and float, her eyes light up with fascination. The colors and sounds thrill her to no end, and watching her face explode with smiles and coos under the oak trees and sunny skies on St. Charles Avenue makes my heart smile. Now at seven months old, she is suddenly so aware of everything around her...seeing her grow and change each day makes me so appreciative of all of the little joys in life.
Happy Mardi Gras to you and yours!
xoxo
