Hello dears, and Happy Pink & Green Thursday!

A million thank you's for the lovely birthday messages this week.  Although I was in Southern Florida for business meetings, it was still a beautiful day and we were able to squeeze in a little fun as well.   (Even managed to do a little power shopping at the Shops at Bal Harbour yesterday!)  I am so happy to be home with my two sweeties now and look forward to celebrating birthday week through the weekend.

Perhaps it was all that lovely salty ocean air and the mellow crashing of the waves, but being in all that gorgeous Florida sunshine made me even more ready for Spring and Summer's arrival.  There is nothing better than throwing on a cute dress and a pair of sandals with a few accessories, minimal makeup and heading out for a summer evening on the town with great friends. 

Elizabeth McKay's Spring collection is all of that and then some...simple silhouettes, beautiful fabrics and delicate details, there are so many classic styles that would stand out at any event and plenty that can be dressed up for day or night wear.  Here are a few of my favorites below - enjoy!

Thirty One!

Today I am happy to be celebrating my thirty-first birthday!  This year is already off to such an incredible start, and I am extremely grateful for all the gifts and blessings in my life.  I am very fortunate to have such wonderful family and amazing friends, and I thank each of you for being a part of my little journey.  You all mean so much to me!

Here's to another year of celebrating all things pink, bubbly, beautiful and indulgent!

Pink & Green Thursday: Tumbl with me!

Happy Pink and Green Thursday, lovely friends!

   Hope that this week finds you happy and well! I've been a busy bee this month hanging with some fabulous blog friends as you read last week, and the fun has continued this week!  Over the weekend the beautiful and bubbly BLC from The Company She Keeps and her sweet beau were in town, and Jen and I were able to meet her for a delicious brunch at Surrey's Cafe & Juice Bar in New Orleans.  BLC is just as precious as you would imagine and we had a great time catching up with her and her hubby.   We're already planning a little couples beach getaway this summer!  Check out BLC's post and photos here.  Also, I am in NYC for work this week, and was fortunate to spend Tuesday evening with two of New York's lovliest ladies, Summer and MCW from Saving The Best For Last.  They were so much fun to be with, and I already miss them very much!  I swear if we hadn't had such early mornings the next day, we could have easily stayed up all night chatting and sipping that fabulous sangria.  We must do it again soon girls!  Check out Summer's post and photos here.

Sweet Baby Jolie

(Jolie's favorite place to nap, right here on my lap!  And on Lilly of course.)

Thank you all for your sweet comments and emails about our little Jolie!   MCW asked me to tell you the story about how this precious pup made her way into our lives, and while some of the details are unclear with these adoption stories, a man who works with my hubby came across her as she had been separated from her mother and brought her to work.  The smallest of the litter from what we know, she was just barely five weeks old at the time. 

I received a very unexpected text from Matt with her picture that read, "Baby Puppy?"

I hesitated because having just moved and both working busy jobs, I didn't think we were ready for a puppy. I took a ride to his office and there were a few ladies were giggling at the door. "You won't believe how cute they are together."  I walked into Matt's office and they were right...the puppy, who was even smaller in person than I expected, was asleep on his hand, and had been for the last hour.   Just one look at each other and we knew right away this little one would be the perfect addition to our family!

Little Miss Jolie has the most beautiful blonde coat with little curls on her ears, white paws and strawberry blonde eyelashes.  She weighs 2.4 lbs now, (up from her 1.6 lbs when we first got her) is adventurous with a dash of sass, and is an absolute delight to be around.  She makes friends everywhere she goes (especially at the snoball stand that she and I have been frequenting) and has such a gentle personality.  I've been fortunate to be working at home the last few weeks and she is the best companion to have in my office (as evidenced by the first photo - she will curl up in my lap and sleep for hours!) 

In the early mornings when we go out, I've been attempting to capture some photos of her so we can remember how sweet these puppy days are.  She is so quick we have resorted to mostly taping her on our Flip camcorder.  There have been plenty of sleepless nights and puppy training escapades, but we wouldn't trade having her for the world.

Sorry for the mushy post, but as first time puppy parents, we couldn't be more thankful that this sweet little baby is in our lives.  Oh, and I am in love with shopping for cute things for her...you won't believe the collars and leashes this little girl has on order.  Teehee!
