Happy Friday all! Thank you all for your lovely get well wishes, please know they meant the world to me over the last few days. This has been an awful virus, that I am slowly but surely recovering from. Hopefully a weekend of continued rest (and maybe even a little time in the sun) will have me back to my old cheerful healthy self!
Thanks to all who participated in yesterday's Pink & Green Thursday. I can't wait to read your posts, and I promise to make my way around to each of you and comment, and properly thank you for joining in!
Let's please remember those on the Gulf Coast who are experiencing first hand the effects of the oil spill, as it is currently set to reach their beachfronts this weekend. The extent of the impact is still unknown, and understandably has so many concerned for the impending environmental and economic effects. Visit Lisa and Lori, and send them a little love if you have a moment. Lisa's Captain John has his own corner here, if you want to read his take on the spill from the past six weeks.
Wishing you each a marvelous weekend, whether you are out and about celebrating with family and friends, or relaxing quietly at home. Make time for extra smiles and hugs, take in a sunset or two, and appreciate all the beauty around us.

Hi sweet Trish! Hope you are feeling much better tonight, and have recovered from what sounds like an awful virus.
ReplyDeleteTrying not to slip into the abyss of major depression around these parts, with oil on shore today...wish we were all having blue drinks and fun at Lulu's instead. Check out my SIA page on facebook, I posted some of the photos.

ReplyDeleteThe oily clothes are taking over, and I have just come up for a breath of fresh air, and I knew I could it find here. (deep breath, there much better) Little did I know you would make me feel so loved and comforted with the choice of a few words. I thank the powers that be everyday for bringing you and the sunshine you spread into our lives. I am absoulutely heartbroken, you, Matt, and the rest of my lovely little bloggy world, just seem to keep us going. Say it isn't true Trish. The Alabama, Mississippi, and Florida Gulf Coast inhabitants have wore out my knees this weekend. Call me today, I have something to tell you.
ReplyDeleteWe love you so much,
Captain John and The Bumpkin
I just called him and read him this post, he's saying this will keep him going for a little while.
It is so heartbreaking to see what is happening in the Gulf Coast. Thanks for the beautiful pictures that evoke happier thoughts. xoxo
ReplyDeleteit is so sad, isn't it! just keep thinking of all of the southern bloggers and how drastically different their summers (to say the least) are going to be now bc of it.
