Pink and Green Thursday: Bring on Summer!

Happy Pink & Green Thursday, friends!

As always, please feel free to play along by grabbing a button, and adding your link to the list below!  It makes my day to see all your happy pinks and greens.  Hopefully through the links you are meeting some new bloggers, who share our mutual love for the ultimate color combo!

A huge thank you to my fabulous guest bloggers for filling in last week, your posts were wonderful!

Glad y'all liked the summery Lilly-inspired Wordless Wednesday this week...I second what many of you said: "Come on summer!!"

1.  First up this week is some seriously adorable cast-aluminum patio furniture from GrandinRoad.  I spazzed when I saw the catalog in my mailbox this week, with this image on the cover:

Could it be any cuter?

At the beach...

...or in the garden...an affordable, fun way to add a splash of color to your outdoor havens!

2.  Horchow is having a great sale this week; 25-30% off!  I picked up a pair of these Trina Turk Palm Beach-inspired "Fuschia Links" pillows in the pink/green geometric pattern (top).  I think they will be a fun, summery pick me up in my otherwise neutral living room!

Also at Horchow, how adorable are these "Ruched Pink" bed linens by Pine Cone Hill?  I could definitely see myself curling up with a book under the sweet canopy, surrounded by all those ruffles!  Reminds me a lot of my bedding as a little girl (minus the canopy, but I always wanted one!)

I love this collection as well, Serena & Lily "Isabel" Bed Linens.  I really like the playful mix of pattern, texture and embroidery. Couldn't you see this in a teenager's room or even a dorm room?
(Do you see the pink take-out box?  Too sweet!)

Last but not least this preppy combo.  Two words:  Seersucker and Scallops.

3.  Last year I posted about these Santa Barbara umbrellas, but I thought I'd put them in today's Pink & Green Thursday, since I am on a summery kick.  The collection was inspired by classic European market umbrellas, and I think they are tres chic!

I realize that a few are a little over the top, but in the right setting, I think even Lilly would approve.

Here is a feature in Traditional Home:

(I wish this was me today!)

4.  The always stylish and fabulous Lily Lemontree posted this photo shoot from Self Magazine featuring Anna Paquin a couple weeks ago, and I fell in love with the playful images!

If you don't know Lily, please be sure to run over and say hello, you won't be disappointed!

  5.  A great article from House Beautiful about selecting pink paint colors.  The opening line lured me in,
"So you think pink is too sweet for you? Well, how would you feel about passionate, daring, flattering, energizing, soothing, inviting — and really pleasing to men?"

I love the room above, and how the chocolate chairs and accent pieces balance the soft hints of pink throughout the room.  I inherited my love of pink from my beautiful mother, who has always used various shades of pink in her decorating of our home growing up.  She always insisted on a balance, and wanted my father to feel comfortable in the setting, not overwhelmed by "girly."

6.  Lilly on sale at Rue La La today!  I picked up two items, but my third sold out, and disappeared from my shopping cart before I had the chance to check out!

Lilly Pulitzer "Meri" Daiquiri Pink Print Top

Lilly Pulitzer "Inner Circle" Patent Wedge Sandal

Did you make any purchases?

7.  Remember a few months ago I wrote about Cid Pear Stationery?  Jessica over at Kitchen Belleicious has a fabulous giveaway going on right now.  Check it out here!

8.  Lilly June Warehouse Sale!  Talk to me ladies, is anyone planning on going?  I've been wanting to go for years, but somehow I was always out of town for business during the event.

I missed out on Hopsy & Beth's pre-sale party last Fall...would anyone like to plan a little get-together for June?  Let me know your thoughts, I would love to meet you!

Hope you're having a fabulous week!

Play along here:

XOXO,

  3. Speaking of summer, I'm hosting a Lilly giveaway for Pink & Green Thursday you might be interested in entering.

So wish I was lounging by the pool right now, too. It's 45 degrees and raining where I live (has been all week).

The umbrellas in the right setting would be adorable. Very unique and like nothing I've ever seen!

Happy Pink & Green Thursday! :)

  4. I have some old metal furniture that I've been wanting to have refinished in that exact shade of pink. Everyone rolls their eyes when I suggest it, but your post has convinced me! It is adorable!!

Love those ruffled umbrellas too--I would be all over them if my backyard wasn't way too shady already.

  8. That patio furntiture- I want. I have been looking for patio furniture! I am not sure if my husband would go for the pink...I could bribe him though. ha
AND so funny you mention the canopy! I took pictures last night of our guest bed (my bed growing up at my parents) and currently it has the 4 posts, but I have not put the canopy portion on it since we moved it! I took pictures to post and ask for advice if I should put them up or not! I think I associate the canopy with my childhood and kids, so I wasnt sure if it worked for an adult's guest room!

  10. Thanks so much for linking me up, sweetie! Swooning over those linens! So gorgeous! I especially LOVE Horchow. (Someday I will share a photo of my dining room with the big gorgeous mirror I got from them.) I, too, was over at Rue La La and my third item sold out before I managed to type my cc number. Craziness!

  11. First of all, I love the bed linens. Wish my daughters were a little older, I'd love to make this for their rooms.

Glad you picked up some Lilly items from the sale. I'm posting the items I got on my Fashion Friday post tomorrow. So many things were too good to pass up, and at that price. Wow! Loved those pink sandals you got, they were gone in my size before I could get to them. :(

I'd love to meet you at that Warehouse Sale, but it may be a little too far from me, and I'll be out of town that weekend, even farther away.

Hope you have a great rest of the day, and superb post...as usual! :)

  13. What a fantastic post! Love that garden furniture I saw it on another blog today too... so great! And what a great score on those pillows... I'm jealous of your pillows... we have three couch dwelling dogs so pillows are something that just don't survive in our house...

I wish I was sitting by the pool with you today as well... drinking a nice belini... getting caught up on reading and gossip... and mostly just enjoying the sunshine!

    Have a fantastic day!

Sorry I have been remiss in responding to you lately... things have been a little hectic around here!

  14. Eeeek!!! I got the Lilly Pulitzer "Meri" top too, but I got it in the Beach Club Blue Print. I can't wait for it to get here!! We have great taste! :) It was a little stressful on Rue La-La today! Everything kept selling out so quickly!! To be expected, though, it is, after all, Lilly!!!

  16. Trish dear, love the Umbrella, the pink one with the ruffled top. Where perhaps would you think that Captain John would allow me to put this? Can't you just see him on the island staking our spot with this lovely umbrella? Yeah me too, needed a good laugh! I love the Anna Paquin shoot, now how did I miss this, and whose this song? Can you not wait for the day when we can post Lee on our mixpods. Take care Love you, Love shoes!

  18. Yay, I posted ON THURSDAY! Love your post, as always, Trish.

You got great items at the Rue La La sale! I got the "Kelan" dress. I think I may have just barely snagged the last one in my size. I didn't get the other dress I wanted, though - it sold out while in my "cart." =(

    Have a fabulous weekend!

  19. Hooray for pink and green thursday!! I got mine posted :)

I got the exact same Meri top in the sale this morning. I really wanted that one last year and never got around to buying it so I was so happy to snatch one up today. I ended up getting the Mizner clutch in gold as well. I was contemplating two dresses and they sold out at 11:10 - so crazy! Loved the selection they had and your new pink shoes.

  43. Those pillows are absolutely fabulous! When we got new furniture they came with pillows & we picked the fabric. Love the fabric, but not the stuffing - they're not holding their shape very well.

I like the patio furniture - very very pretty!

  44. Hi! Sorry I’ve been M.I.A. this week. This is my really busy week (and weekend unfortunately) at work. I am completely fine with switching to Generations if you want to go there. Brunch was fantastic and I’m hoping that dinner would be the same. Just let me know :)

The patio furniture is too cute for words. I especially love the pink loveseat. Horchow is great and those pillows are perfect for summer. My living room is in desperate need of some color and this just might be exactly what I need. The seersucker and scallops bed linens are too much as well. The Flamenco Umbrella is also quite lovely. Makes me wish I had a backyard and a pool to put this next to ;)

I love Anna Paquin and she looks so cute in the Self magazine photos.

The room painted pink with brown furniture is perfect. I think I could even get Geof to go for that.

I had the same luck at the RueLaLa sale and lost out on the 2 things I wanted most, so I didn’t get anything :( (there was a tunic and cardigan that I really wanted). I’m glad you ended up with some cute things.

We can definitely talk about the Lilly sale. I already know that’s my crazy week at work, but I’m getting there one way or another.
