New Orleans Artist: Art by Monet

Since we no longer live in Louisiana, M & I often find ourselves reminiscing about having coffee and beignets at Morning Call, charbroiled oysters at Drago's, debris po-boys at Mother's, a cold beer on the patio at the Bulldog Uptown....it pretty much always ends up being something food or beverage related.  One of the greatest things about New Orleans, the amazing array of restaurants and bars!

A few months ago, I came across a brand called Art by Monet.  The designer is native to New Orleans and creates really unique, ecletic designs that revolve around classic New Orleans culture.  I've since received a few gifts from the collection and really cherish them...a little reminder of all of our favorites!

I gave a bunch of these ornaments as gifts for Christmas this year.  I also think they would look cute on a bottle of wine as a hostess gift!  Also below are a few pieces I have - I love the mirror, it is even cuter in person.  Available for purchase through their website or at Judy's at the Rink on Prytania.

  4. I SO miss Drago's! I tell everyone who goes to NOLA to go there & eat. To eat until they can't eat any more.

And I adored the Bulldog! I used to live in the Lower Garden & that was a regular haunt!
