Hope everyone's week is going beautifully!
I'm on the road for business and need your urgent help!
One of my besties is having a baby shower in two weeks and I've never given gifts for a boy & girl twin shower - can you give me some suggestions?? What are the must have gifts for twins? Alternatively I am also interested in something unique that she might not think to ask for. Any ideas would be MOST appreciated!
Can't wait to catch up on all of my blog reading. Talk to y'all soon!
XOXO,
Trish
P.S. She is registered at Babies R Us and and somewhere else (forgot the invitation at home!)...but I am never stuck on registries. Thanks again in advance!!
(Edited to add)
P.P.S. The babies are going to be named Hayes Christopher and Avery Grace - last name starts with P. Any monogram gift suggestions would be great too :)

I like to give monogrammed silver rattles as baby gifts. I'm sure they will love whatever you give them.

I love the dwell studios baby line at target. They have really bright fun colors and cute fun prints. Also it's very affordable. A lot of times for showers, especially if it's a closer friend, I like to get a basket and load it up with small things, baby socks, bibs, pacifiers, baby oil, recieving blanket and a cute outfit. Regardless I think shopping for baby showers is so much fun! Enjoy!
ReplyDeleteI don't know...but, I always give monogrammed gifts. Usually an outfit...I love the ones from Pottery Barn Kids.
ReplyDeleteI love baby showers. What precious names she picked out. Last year I purchased a monogram jumpsuit from Elegant Baby www.elegantbaby.com for a shower I attended. It was stunning cable knit jumpsuit with the baby's initial on it. Was a big hit.
ReplyDeleteHave a lovely time at the shower.

I always buy a Mommy present for showers, because I know so little of babies, and the Mommys never get the good stuff. Usually something like a gift card for VS, or something feel good just for her. I saw a designer hospital gown(not ugly) at a shower last week it was a hit. Here is that link. http://www.duematernity.com/dejoavahogo.html
ReplyDeleteAnother idea is www.oneshare.com
You buy one share of stock for the Baby.
You could buy like Harley Davidson stock for him and Martha Stewart Omni stock for her.
It's not anymore expensive than you are going to spend otherwise, and it even comes printed with a My first stock border. They have lots of choices, and it's definitely a gift that keeps on giving.
For babies, they send the Mommy an update form, so that when the Mommy gets the babies SSN# she can register it.
I was about to start hunting you!
I have very good go-to-gifts that Moms ALWAYS LOVE! Lands End makes a mini tote that is darling. Have one made for each twin with their monogram. Or, I also give give their beach towels with their first name embroidered on them. The can use them forever! The quality is fabulous!
ReplyDeleteAHHHH..I just found your BLOG!!!! LOVE IT!!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteHeyy girly! Just came across your blog and absolutely love it!!!! I did something different for the last baby shower I went to... I paid for a photography session at a studio to get family portraits and the mommy seemed to really love it!
ReplyDeleteHave a fabulous day!
xoxo
I am loving all of your ideas! You are all officially my new personal shoppers XOXO
ReplyDeleteI like calling cards for children... Lots of cute etsy shops out there that could help!
ReplyDeleteGet her 2 "Sophie the Giraffes"....they are the best teething toys, and maybe a Sleep Sheep? I also love the Robeez shoes for babies. Cute, cute blog!
ReplyDeleteI have no gift ideas really...BUT I would LOVE To have boy/girl twins!!! Get both of what I want in one bang! :)
ReplyDeleteMy niece and nephew are boy/girl twins. They are 15 now...but I think it is awesome!!
Yay! Twins!!
ReplyDeleteSomeone gave us beautiful monogrammed blankets from Pottery Barn Kids when our triplets were born, and five years later, they still LOVE them and sleep with them every night.
Another great idea are Podee Bottles, which were a MUST have for me when our triplets were babies. I actually nursed our trio, but sometimes I would supplement with a bottle and these were fantastic. Here's a link where I wrote about them and described how they work:

I definitely agree with Land's End Totes monogrammed with their initials. One for each baby. I would do the medium size tote though with a zip. They are perfect for trips to grandma's house, weekends away, etc. You can even do a pink tote with green monogramming if you call the telephone line rather than ordering online. I've done that a few times and it always turns out cute!! Monogrammed beach towels are also a great idea- they won't grow out of them and will have them their whole childhoods.
