Lombardi Gras! Plus - Super Fab Super Bowl Menu

OMG!  The SAINTS did it!  We had the most amazing time watching the boys in Black & Gold accomplish the BIG win last night....Biting our nails throughout the first half of the game, and dancing around the house as the Saints Super Bowl WIN was announced!  We rejoiced with the entire WHO DAT NATION!  It was truly a dream come true for so many.

(Cover of this morning's Times-Picayune)

There is so much to talk about, and so much to remember.  Of all the amazing moments, one of the most touching post-game memories for me was watching our hero Drew Brees hold up his baby boy, who just turned one in January.

The picture below of their little family celebrating in the midst of all the chaos is precious...Hard to tell if he is more proud of holding the Lombardi trophy, or just so taken in the moment, and grateful for his wife and child.

As far as the epic Mid-Atlantic "Snowmageddon" - Chevy Chase, MD got just shy of 30" of snow.  Initially it was pretty cool!  Took a late night stroll on Friday in the snow, and had an opportunity to snap some beautiful photos.

Dad and M were so kind to not only take care of us, but many of our neighbors.  There were no signs of our street getting plowed, and a neighbor had a little two-year-old that desperately needed to get to the doctor.  M and Dad rallied the male neighbors, and they shoveled and manually snow plowed the entire block, so they could get the little one to the doctor.  LOVE IT.  We were so fortunate to not lose heat or power through the major storm. I pray that everyone who did has been turned back on by now.

Our street finally got major snow plowed late this afternoon, and we finally made it back home.   I can hardly believe that they are calling for 10-20" of more snow starting tomorrow afternoon!

I have so much to catch up on,  but for now I leave you with my Super Fab Super Bowl Menu!  More pics and recipes to follow....
