Post-Christmas Glow

Hoping you all had the most wonderful holiday surrounded by love and laughter!

We had an amazing Christmas complete with family, a beautiful Christmas Eve mass and a a delicious feast...on the menu was an amazing standing Rib Roast, Lobster Macaroni & Cheese, Green Beans Almondine, Twice baked potato souffle, and Red Velvet cake for dessert. It was divine!

I will follow up with details soon, but in the meantime, my mother in law is coming in from New Orleans for 10 days, so I have to scoot and get ready for houseguests!

For now we'll just sit back and bask in the beauty of the Post-Christmas glow!

Happy Lilly-days to all! :)

Merry Christmas Week!

Our total snowfall was 23.2" inches! Hope those on the East Coast had a safe and enjoyable SNOW weekend! It was so fun to be snowed in :) Wrapping presents, watching movies, taking naps - it was heaven!

Merry, Merry Christmas week to all! I am so happy that this special week is upon us. My shopping is done, presents wrapped, packages sent, cards in the mail, winter wonderland of snow all around...it really feels magical!

All of my Christopher Radko ornaments are sparkling so bright - including this little guy I got for Matt our first Christmas together. Don't you just love the little winking eyes? :)

(Here's what I ended up selecting for our Christmas card this year - can you stand it?! I just love them and those who have received already received have called to say how much they adore them. Good thing my hubby appreciates my love of pink and girly things!! He even let me send them to his bosses :) )

My darling cousin Lauren sent me this link today. I was familiar with the store Hazelnut in New Orleans, which is owned by Mad Men's Bryan Batt and his partner...little did I know they had created a Lilly Pulitzeresque print, featuring some special New Orleans icons! I love it so much! I think I am going to order some fabric and dream up some fun gift items using the material. :)

Tomorrow I am heading home to D.C. to kick of Christmas week with an annual holiday cocktail party with some of my besties. Can't wait! We wish we could spend more time together, but this little tradition is something we look forward to all year. I can't wait to see downtown D.C. all decked out in snow!

My company hosted its annual holiday party, to which I debuted my lovely Lilly Saemus dress. It was a total hit! Being in the NYC metro, most were dressed in black (while I love the Hepburn classics, I was so happy to be the only one in happy colors!). I felt like a million dollars and everyone said I looked like I walked out of Palm Beach or the Bahamas. Lilly would be so proud! :)

Wishing you and yours a most beautiful holiday season, and a New Year full of blessings and joy! Thank you for your kind welcome to the blogging community this year. I look forward to greater participation in 2010, and meeting some of my new blog friends!
